Rhythm of the Feet is Picking up Steam

After a year of planning the Rhythm of the Feet Dance Concert is getting ready for rehearsals

What is Rhythm of the Feet?

For the past year Living Arts Detroit has team up with local Detroit Dancer and owner of "House of Jit" to create Detroit next big dance concert Rhythm of the Feet. Since we were award the Joyce Foundation Grant back in September of 2021 we have been working tirelessly to get everything in order to begin rehearsals.

What Has Happened?

As the Production Manager of this Dance Concert this year was full of reworking budgets, navigating artistic differences, and an uphill battle of booking the perfect venue. After all of that we have finally gotten to the point to send out contracts. With contracts being sent out that means the choreographing has begun and rehearsals will start in mid Feburary.

In the mean time I will be booking hotels and plane tickets for our out of state dancers from all over America. On top of that I will be working along side our Executive Director Laura Scales to put on the Gala for the this Dance Concert. As our dancers and choreographers are working tirelessly I will be checking in on them while finalizing these details to make sure this concert and gala are a night to remember for our Detroit Community.
